SIZES
STANDARD:
22" UP ( that is floor to shoulder
Weight range tends to be 50lbs UP
rarely do we have Standard Aussiedoodles
The majority of our Labradoodles and Goldendoodles
Average size is 20-22" so are considered mediums
MINI/MEDIUM:This Term is VERY Deceptive,
In fact I Just hate even using it with the Doodle Breeds
God Willing this will help you be a informed shopper
The "Ideal" size for a Mini/Medium is
UNDER 22 inches. at top of shoulder>>35-50lbs
A MINI DOODLE IS Typically NOT THE SIZE OF A MINI POODLE
Do NOT be deceived!!!!
We do NOT Artificial inseminate ,nor do we infuse
Spaniels or terriers into the mix to try to reduce size!!!
Some Info on the web is very confusing concerning Sizes
NO breeder can honestly guarantee you size
These are afterall hybrids,
If you have size restrictions where you live I would Not Recommend
a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle ,
you could consider a Aussiedoodle Weight range Vary.
(weight is not a good judge, btw Height would be floor to top of shoulder)
F1 Labradoodles=This is Lab or Golden Retriever to poodle cross, this is first generation, resulting in healthier offspring! Hair type can be smooth like a lab, wirey look like a Irish wolfhound or Wavy/shaggy, they can shed or no,,I do not recommend this cross for people with severe allergies.
F1B Labradoodles or Goldendoodles=This is Labradoodle/Goldendoodle Bred back to Poodle coats range from Borderline Wavy Curly shaggy look doodle very consistent in coat types F1B Labradoodles are the MOST likely of any to be non shedding and Allergy friendly then ANY doodles and is the easiest coat to take care of. Please be aware that F1B GOLDENDOODLES produce a very Curly coat requiring alot of care,
F1b Labradoodles are a generally produce a softer more managable coat
F1 Goldendoodle's=This is Golden Ret, bred to Poodle,,I have found the Goldendoodle's are also very consistent in the coat and Very likly to be non shedding and allergy friendly,,this produces a wavy curly shaggy look puppy,Normally are Very Low to No shed ,and typically allergy friendly. (I do NOT breed F!B Goldendoodles,This mix does produce alot of coat,They resemble a poodle type coat!!)
F3 or F2 ,Depending on who you talk to)Labradoodle =F1B Labradoodle to F1 Labradoodle or Poodle This cross should keep the hybrid vigor and obtain a more consistency in coat type ,,This is as far as we go with our backcrossing, (also we don't infuse other breeds of dogs such as spaniel and terriers in the mix as other breeders are doing,,this only introduces more health issues in the mix and contributes to unhealthy dogs.

SIZES WE Breed...
Labradoodles and Goldendoodles >>We Breed Mini/Mediums to Standard
We do NOT breed F1B or Higher Generation Goldendoodles
this produces entirely to much of a poodle like coat most folks cannot deal with ,
We DO raise Mini/Medium & Standard
F1B & Higher Generation Labradoodles
Mini/Mediums under 18"at shoulder appx 40lbs and up(depending on parents)
Standards over 22" at the shoulder 45-70lbs on avg
WE DO NOT ARTIFICAL INSEMINATE
Nor do we Infuse Spaniels or Terriers to obtain size!!!
I have MINI Aussie's (yes you can purchase MINI & even Toy Australian Shepherds,,
I have yet to see a MINI or Toy, Lab or Lab or Golden retriever :O)
The coats of the Aussiedooldes look just like the Goldendoodles,
Softer ,almost like Bunny Fur,, they also come in Various Colors!!!
(Currently the Majority of our Female breeding dogs are under 22"
(Which is Technically considered Mini's) Moms normally determine size of a pup
Some breeders are trying to Tell people that they can guarantee size on a Doodle ,,
This My friends This is Impossible!!!,these are after all HYBRIDS,
Do NOT expect to get a smaller Labradoodle or Goldendoodle on first Cross
A larger gene can crop in there anytime.even in the same litter!!!
Some breeders are giving a false hope to people by Artificial Inseminating,
Toy/Miniature Poodles to their Standard Size Retrievers.Just to sell you a puppy
The Health Issues that can stem from this breeding practice are Numerous
Resulting in Longer backs, Shorter legs, and most importantly
negative growth issues,We Do NOT do that here!!!
We feel that using Artificial Insemination in our opinion, is bad breeding practices
If god meant it to happen it will happen naturally,
if it doesn't we wont take shortcuts to achieve it!!
Some Breeders can be very deceptive in telling you that they breed ,"true minis" or "comfort doodles" with the hybrids there is no such thing, The German Bred poodles in a breeding program is working well for allot of us,, these are 14-19" typically ,,
they Do produce the smaller size in their offspring,
I have been very lucky in using this method to achieve my minis without jeopardizing
the health or Look of the breed to accomplish it.
Now some breeders are using Cockers and Terriers infused in the breed
to get a smaller size,,Ok I'm shaking my head here,,LOL
IMO These are one of the worse breeds to consider as a family dog.
I have formed this opinion from several years as a Groomer & Vet Tech.,
most spaniels and terriers have very nasty temperaments
and are not suitable for service therapy or even family dogs
since they are so unpredictable.
Not to mention the health issues to name a couple,
Major skin and persistent ear problems, along with cancers all of which runs
in most AKC Breeds, why? because they have Inbred and Linebred so long!!!
