Q>Are ALL  Doodles ALLERGY friendly and Non shedding ??

A>No!!,, Doodles are Hybrids, there is no way any breeder can guarantee you a non shedding /hypoallergenic dog,,Not even a multi generation breeder!!  it doesn't matter what generation it is!! Although most F1B Labradoodles are the most likely to be non shedding and allergy friendly or ANY doodle, it is impossible to know for sure until they get there adult coat in between 8-12mths old, If you have allergy issues we will need to address the "what if" question, BEFORE Reserving ,,, I want all my pups to go to lifelong homes!! F1B (First generation Labrador bred back to Poodle is VERY likely to be allergy friendly , We have limited availability and reservations are RECOMMENDED!!!
F1 Labradoodles hair coat can be smooth(like a lab) wiry (like a Irish wolfhound, see above left)
or wavy (like henry,above),F1B or F2/F3 are most likely to not shed and be allergy friendly, and very consistent in the look,Goldendoodles are more borderline to wavy and a bit more consistent in there look.
IN ADDITION,,VISITING US OR OTHER BREEDERS HOMES WILL NOT GURANTEE YOU ARENT ALLERGIC TO THE PUPS,,THEY HAVE OTHER BREEDS OF DOGS THAT COULD AGGRAVATE YOUR ALLERGYS,ALSO PUP COULD HAVE OTHER DOGS DANDER TRANSFERED TO THEM,,YOU WONT TRULY KNOW UNTIL YOU GET YOUR PUP HOME AND SETTLED,ALL PUPS ARE DIFFERENT

Q>Are doodles good with children?
A> Absolutely, they are wonderful little clowns and will just break there heart to please you!! They are being utilized as service and therapy dogs due to there even temperament and there willingness to please,,I do Have some concerns about placing puppies with families with children under 5yrs old,,,This is due to safety for the puppy and for the children! Puppies can play rough biting scratching, jumping, this is normal puppy play, and it can be quite the challenge,If you do have younger children please tell  me how your family would  handle the challenges. I want all my babies to go to lifetime homes and I want to feel comfortable that you will be able to train your puppy properly to be a lifetime member of Your Family!!

F1 Labradoodles=This is Lab to poodle cross, this is first generation!! ! Hair type can be smooth like a lab, wirey look like a Irish wolfhound or Wavy/shaggy, they can shed or no,,I do not recommend this cross for people with severe allergies.

F1B Labradoodles=This is Labradoodle Bred back to Poodle ,Wavy Curly shaggy look doodle very consistent in coat types  F1B is the MOST likely of any to be non shedding and Allergy friendly then ANY doodles and is the easiest coat to take care of

F1 Goldendoodle's=This is Golden Ret, bred to Poodle,,I have found the Goldendoodle's are also very consistent in the coat and more likely to be non shedding and allergy friendly,,this produces a wavy curly shaggy look puppy,Normally are Very Low to No shed ,and typically allergy friendly. (We do NOT breed F!B Goldendoodles,This mix does produce too much coat for most people to handle, closely resembling  a poodle coat!!)

Our Multi Generation Labradoodles =F1B Labradoodle to F1/F1B Labradoodle,  This cross should keep the hybrid vigor and obtain a more consistency in coat type ,,also we don't infuse other breeds of dogs such as spaniel and terriers in the mix as other breeders are doing,,this only introduces more health issues in the mix and contributes to unhealthy dogs.

A> We release pups at 8weeks old, If you need us to keep the pup past the 8week old pickup date

until you can get here to pickup your new baby See our Visitors Policy page please

Q>Where are you located ? do You Ship?
A>We are located about 20 miles from  Winchester,VA,(81 North ,Right before the west VA line) .and appx 3hrs from Pittsburgh or Philly,,1.5hr from Washington,DC, appx 4hrs from NYC
We do prefer you pick your baby up in person it is so much LESS stressful on a puppy ,,click here,,
If you can fly here so your baby wont have to fly alone, your pup can fly in the cabin of the airplane in a large Sherpa bag (soft sided carrier) flying into Washington Dulles airport is the easiest for you to get in and out of, this is the preferred method for our puppies It's only around $50-$80.00 depending on the Airline for the pup to fly in the cabin with You.They puppy has to be under 20 pounds and under 11" in my experience they will fit in carrier at 8weeks old)

CARGO SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE
THERE IS A DOG FLU EPEDEMIC SWEEPING THE COUNTRY,
Not to mention the stress it puts on the puppy!!!
(Dog flu cases have been documented in California,
Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Virginia,DC,
North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon and Washington state.)
Also are you aware that in just the last 2yrs that the airlines
are only now being regulated by the government, This is due to
the Numerous Deaths when animals are being shipped, now
finally the Airlines MUST answer to someone! That is the reason that
Several Airliners are now Not shipping animales, makes ya wanna go Hmmm,,huh?
PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

Q>What will happen if I cannot keep my dog?
A> I care very much about the welfare of our babies,,If keeping your pup becomes a problem for any reason , We do have a very strict rehome policy, if before the pup is 6months or Younger you are required to bring back to us,
If older we can try to help find a new home, at times I can bring back here, however I am very limited in space so that may not be a option,,If you find a home for your baby then I would like approval of the new home, and info on the new family,.This is stated in my contract ,which you sign on pickup,  In order for you not to be Legally and Financially  responsible for additional fees pup must be spayed or Neutered BEFORE rehoming if not returned to breeder, there are NO exceptions!!!! Please be Double sure you are ready for a lifetime commitment to your new Puppy.
I DO NOT EVER WANT TO HEAR OF ONE OF MY PUPPIES DUMPED IN A SHELTER OR WORSE!!!!

Q> What is the lifespan of a doodle?
A> Generally 12-14yrs old
PLEASE be aware of the time frame and commitment ,having a dog is as much a commitment as having a child!!!!

Q>Do I have to alter my dog??
A> YES!!! we have a very STRICT alter policy ,dogs must be surgically altered by a license vet between 5- 6mths of age we do not early spay , this can cause incontinence problems and bone cancer ,we refuse to take a chance with our puppy's health!!! Why???

Q>Can My Dog Be Registered?? No,these are Hybrids and we do not support any doodle registry, because some are working very hard to get these dogs recognized by AKC ,,We are very much against this because this will create the same problems that all full blooded registered dogs have ,,which was the MAIN reason the doodles were bred in the first place!!! Think about it!!! We can give you a pedigree on the parents after your doodle is altered if you wish

Q> What health guarantee do you give with your pups?
A>  YES , 2Year Gurantee

Health Issues Hereditary or Environmental? (click here)

All of our wonderful dogs are  tested, heritary diseases,VWD,HD,etct,,
We do Extensive  research on our pedigrees also to insure we are breeding the best we can into this wonderful breed we do this by choosing exceptional dogs for our breeding program  That are NOT Linebred or Inbred!! They  have a history of healthy ancestors. Some are actually bred and raised here! All babies will be given a complete check up by Our veterinarian before they leave  our home! They  also have been wormed Starting at 2weeks old,and first shots are given by Our Veternarian at 6weeks old,
And Loads of hugs and kisses from grandma and granddad
Vitamins are Needed to help  with growth of pups ,we highly recommend Nuvet vitamins ,but are very happy to discuss other vitamins that You feel do the job ,we just want to give the pups every possible thing to insure health for its lifetime,  Our pups have been given Nuvet vitamins from the time they start to eat on there own, Moms are given 2weeks prior to whelping, In our opinion these vitamins are the best on the market!!
TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER

1.  My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.

2.  Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3.  Place your trust in me  it is crucial for my well-being.

4.  Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment.
You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I HAVE ONLY YOU!

5.  Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice when it's speaking to me.

6.  Be aware that however you treat me, I'll NEVER forget it.

7.  Before you hit me, remember that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand,
but I choose not to bite you.

8.  Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.

9.  Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.

10.  Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or,
"Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for ME if you are there. Remember, I LOVE YOU!

Just a note about hip dysphasia
WE do Hip testing on  our breeding dogs,
unfortunately all the testing in the world cannot guarantee you a Problem free dog

Health Issues Hereditary or Environmental?(click here)
and another Info Link click here

Many people are familiar with the fact that certain large breed dogs can come down with hip dysphasia. Recent research shows, , that one contributing factor to this crippling ailment is due to environmental conditions. You should never let your puppy climb up and down steps until he or she is at least a year old. Growing puppy hips just aren't prepared for the wear and tear that stairs can cause. Also when your pup starts his/her growing spurts a good quality Large breed puppy food is in order, this normally has glucosamine in it which helps with joint and bone growth..WE personally recommend nuvet vitamins, this will give your dog all the vitamins necessary to grown into a strong and healthy dog!!

HD,can result from environmental issues ,injury or specific nutritional needs,,
until there is a genetic marker no breeder can guarantee a HD free dog
Just a FYI> there are few  diseases that have a genetic marker to conclusively say that a particular dog carries a specific gene,,Most disorders are polygenic, both parents must carry the gene in order to produce the defect. This is one of the reasons we feel so good about these hybrids,,The genetic pool is so large, and we have been very blessed in finding quality breeding dogs from like minded AKC breeders, for poodles ,Labradors and golden retrievers breeding stock  that understand the importance of sound dogs to develop this breed,,,,personally I thank them for there input, help, and advice  in our venture,,,Thank god we are NOT the kind of breeders that do linebreeding and inbreeding,,and we work very hard ,to ensure our breeding dogs are NOT Linebred or Inbred.

We also are in hopes that AKC NEVER accepts this dog in there registry
or this breed to could be in jeopardy!!
We do our best to breed the most genetically sound pups that we can.

We do have a STRICT Spay policy for all of our pups

We do NOT sell breeding dogs!

Dangers of Raw Diet!!! Click here
Recently it has been announced that some of the Australian multi generations Labradoodles have had TERRIERS and Several Breeds of Spaniels Infused into there lines,in most cases Terriers and Spaniels have very bad attitudes ,not suitable to be around children or for service or therapy work, and have SEVERE health concerns,
This does NOTHING for the Labradoodle breed as a whole,

Also The fact that they have been  breeding back to poodle to the Umpteenth degree for years!!,causing them in the long run to become up to or beyond 15/16 Poodle,,,
I ask You!!! IS that a Poodle or a Doodle??

We Offer  LABRADOODLE'S in the TRUE sense of the word, using only parent breeds !!!!
NO  Christmas Puppies Please!!!
